Combined transport system Road & Rail (intermodal transport) is one of the best and competitive way for long distance full load transports. Curcio’s intermodal division is nowadays in growth, using this solution to promote the EU policy for a more sustainable way to transfer the goods.
This system combines various ways of transport in only one solution, with all the relative advantages: this combined system reduces CO2 emission more than 80%, providing more protection to the environment. Besides the ecological advantages, Road & Rail transport is less expensive and it offers the possibility to charge a greater amount of goods compared to the road transport system.
Goods always on the move assure the system quickness and reliability, without all the prohibitions and the unexpected problems of road transport.
Our society have nowadays a large availability of swap bodies of different types: box-trailers, side boards, tautliner with open roof, that allow us great flexibility in loading and unloading goods.
Moreover, to increase the service quality standard, all the road tractions (called Last Mile project) – Italy, Belgium, France – are made with owned trucks.
